    A NEW SHOPPING MALL IN ISTANBUL Imagine that a new shopping mall will be buit in Istanbul and there is a competititon among university students for the best business plan for this new shopping mall.     1. Location1.Location & Contexts:
    This new shopping mall is in Avcılar. It involves many different parts for people’s needs in the centre of Avcılar. It has lots of things such as shops, supermarkets, cinemas, restaurants etc. However, when you approach the Istanbul University that is far from the centre of Avcılar you cannot see the large shopping mall. Therefore, we will should our shopping mall that name’s is PLEASURE.
    First, we have host of shopping malls in Turkey such as Capitol, Kanyon, and İstinye Park etc. According to research these numbers reaches 179 shopping malls in Turkey and 58 of them in Istanbul, so this indicates us competition is very big. Pleasure will involves outlet shops of important brands. Especially, we should think of the students of Istanbul University, because it has 10.000 students in Avcılar campus. We will put fast food restaurants, bowling centre, star bucks, and sport centre for relaxation in Pleasure. Also, we should think of the children’s world. It will include funfair for them. It will involve cinemas and theatres for everybody. Besides these things, car parking is so essential, because consumers don’t want to face problem with their cars. The other thing is go-cart. Many teenagers interested in go carting. We can do this like Koru Park that is in Bursa. It will be fantastic for everyone.

    We should give importance to the great advertisement because consumers want to know this new shopping mall. We can make use of press release to see everybody and also we can use the billboards that are so useful. As a result, we can reach many people with this way, so we will make profit from our new shopping mall.

    First, we should work with successful architects, because design and construction of the Pleasure is so important for consumers. We should give importance the visual things.
    Second, we should give importance to the colors of shopping mall and we may put some pictures on the wall for people who interest in art. Consequently, they might feel good and special themselves when they are walking in the shopping mall. We can enhance our shopping centre with these small details.

    Shopping malls have been growing day by day in today’s society. They have a big profit in Turkey’s economy. We are preparing the new shopping mall and we need to some developments for consumers such as giving importance to construction or put some beautiful pictures on the walls. These details can provide consumers that positive thought for the shopping mall.

    For a new shopping mall there are three choices. In Kurtköy there are two shopping malls. They are Viaport, World Atlantis and at weekends they are very crowded. Customers want a new one for comfort shopping. Second place is Çekmeköy there is one shopping mall Beşyıldız also Çekmeköy is developing place. Last one is Adalar. There is not shopping mall there but in Adalar there is no car so it is an obstacle.

    In our age, shopping malls are getting popular because of lots of reason. However, the location of the new shopping mall should be Bahçeşehir to satisfy the need of Bahçeşehir’s shopping mall. Putting advertisement on newspapers, distributing hand brochures and launching gala can be good idea for advertisement.

    shopping center called C.K-Poles.mall is in Avcılar. It will locate nearinvolves many different parts for people’s needs in the Bosphorus C.Kcentre of Avcılar. It has lots of things such as shops, supermarkets, cinemas, restaurants etc. However, when you approach the Istanbul University that is far from the centre of Avcılar you cannot see the large shopping mall. Therefore, we will introvertshould our shopping mall that name’s is PLEASURE.
    First, we have host of
    shopping malls which means activities will focus on indoor but there will be 2 types onein Turkey such as Capitol, Kanyon, and İstinye Park etc. According to research these numbers reaches 179 shopping malls in Turkey and 58 of them in Istanbul, so this indicates us competition is North pole C.Kvery big. Pleasure will involves outlet shops of important brands. Especially, we should think of the students of Istanbul University, because it has 10.000 students in Avcılar campus.     Generally, Shopping Malls were located in away from the city center but, in last 10 years sometings changed and now we can see a lot of Shopping Malls in city center. For example, Cevahir Mall (2005) is in Şişli, Profilo Shopping Center (1998) is in Mecidiyeköy, Metrocity (2003) is in Levent, Tepe Nautilus (2002) is in Acıbadem and we can say more of them. People prefer these Shopping Malls because of their location. On the other hand, their locations are also very important because of social surroundings. People, who live in Şişli, Mecidiyeköy, Levent and Acıbadem, have financial possibility and they love cultural activities
    such as; car park, accodamation, well known brands, kinder garden, cafes, varietyas cinema, theatre which Shopping Malls include. In addition, some shopping malls are arround places which have a lot of students and employers such as Capitol (Altunizade), Kadir Has Center (Bahçelievler). Therefore the new Shopping Mall should be in city center or places where higher cultural level.

    As a concept, Shopping Malls which close to working places, educational institutions, tourism centers and Malls that have cultural and artistic activities, are the Malls which we can say as rivals.

    - First of all, the new Shopping Mall should be in city center, especially around Taksim.
    - It should have a lot
    of restaurants, health facilities, gym,cinema, ıce stage, swimming poll, security. Atstores, cinema, theater and playground.
    - It should be very large like Cevahir because
    the same timemore it looks bigger, the more customers come.

So launching is most important one of the process. Launching gala should be done with lots famous people,
    so it would be talked on daily life between people, or have a place on news and newspapers. Putting advertisement on some newspapers can be a good method or hand brochures can be distributed in Bahçeşehir.
    Recommendations
    The design of
    the first yearmall must be more modern and future-based. They can be outdoor establishments such as Kanyon and Form Istanbul, or they can even handle indoor activities such as concerts, theaters or some workshops about art activities.
    Eating areas are also important; there should be some de luxe restaurants which are extraverted in despite of introverted fast-food restaurants.
    Conclusions
    In our age, shopping malls are getting popular because of lots of reason. However, the location of the new shopping mall should be Bahçeşehir to satisfy the
    need of Bahçeşehir’s shopping mall. Putting advertisement toon newspapers, distributing hand brochures and launching gala can be well-known aroundgood idea for advertisement.

    Akmerkez is still the most favorable Mall which is established in 1993. It has exclusive brands and top fashion shops. It located the luxury district of Istanbul at Etiler.
    The mall has won the Europe's Best shopping mall award in 1995 and Worlds Best shopping mall award in 1996.

Moreover, Çamlıca which is one of Istanbul’s centers is close to many work places, sites and universities, such as Özyeğin University and Istanbul Trade University. Next, 3T will provide a new living space. People do not want to see only building which are made in concrete. 3T’s atmosphere will be natural. When they come there, they feel being in a small and lovely town. As, it is large alike a small town. It has two stairs, so cafes and restaurants are in balconies of upstairs. In the downstairs there are many famous brands’ stores. We think that there should be a pool under the escalator.
    In addition, we want to build the roof which can be opened and closed. For instance, if the weather is mild, people watch movie in the open air cinema. In the middle of 3T there are palm trees. Its lights are the shape of street lights.

    This new shopping mall is in Avcılar. It involves many different parts for people’s needs in the centre
    of Avcılar. It has lots of things such as shops, supermarkets, cinemas, restaurants etc. However, when you approach the Istanbul University that is far from the centre of Avcılar you cannot see the large shopping mall. Therefore, we will should our shopping mall that name’s is PLEASURE.
    First, we have host of shopping malls in Turkey such as Capitol, Kanyon, and İstinye Park etc. According to research these numbers reaches 179 shopping malls in Turkey and 58 of them in Istanbul, so this indicates us competition is very big. Pleasure will involves outlet shops of important brands. Especially, we should think of the students of Istanbul University, because it has 10.000 students in Avcılar campus. We will put fast food restaurants, bowling centre, star bucks, and sport centre for relaxation in Pleasure. Also, we should think of the children’s world. It will include funfair for them. It will involve cinemas and theatres for everybody. Besides these things, car parking is so essential, because consumers don’t want to face problem with their cars. The other thing is go-cart. Many teenagers interested in go carting. We can do this like Koru Park that is in Bursa. It will be fantastic for everyone.

    Generally, Shopping Malls were located in away from the city center but, in last 10 years sometings changed and now we can see a lot of Shopping Malls in city center. For example, Cevahir Mall (2005) is in Şişli, Profilo Shopping Center (1998) is in Mecidiyeköy, Metrocity (2003) is in Levent, Tepe Nautilus (2002) is in Acıbadem and we can say more of them. People prefer these Shopping Malls because of their location. On the other hand, their locations are also very important because of social surroundings. People, who live in Şişli, Mecidiyeköy, Levent and Acıbadem, have financial possibility and they love cultural activities such as cinema, theatre which Shopping Malls include. In addition, some shopping malls are arround places which have a lot of students and employers such as Capitol (Altunizade), Kadir Has Center (Bahçelievler). Therefore the new Shopping Mall should be in city center or places where higher cultural level.

    ‘s life. In Kurtköyİstanbul there are two shopping malls. They are Viaport, World Atlantis and at weekends they are very crowded. Customers want a new one for comfort shopping. Second place is Çekmeköy there is one shopping mall Beşyıldız also Çekmeköy is developing place. Last one is Adalar. There is not shopping mall there but in Adalar there is no car so it is an obstacle.

    After smoking rules people need more open areas and they want to see big green places.

    There are more than 1 million 700 thousand cars in Istanbul and parking problem is on the rise.

    For a new shopping mall there are three choices and Kurtköy is the most suitable one because there are two shopping
    approach 40 malls and others are far away. Kurtköy is developing place, new apartments are building there.
    People want to spend time at open and green places. New shopping mall can be
    like a park with big green place and people can sit on grass.
    Mothers want to shop relax so there must be children park in it with experienced teachers.
    Istanbul is a big city and people use their cars so shopping mall must have a big car park area. Underground park area is suitable because of place problem.
    People should arrive there easily. There must be a lot of way for arrive the shopping mall. Kurtköy have this advantage with bus, minibus and there will be metro.

    When big companies decide to do greater and new investments in Istanbul, they always select the area with freshly constructed housing developments. This is done because with these big housing developments, new people locate the location and will able to use their shopping malls. So the new shopping mall location should be Bahçeşehir because there are lots of new residences which are under construction. Also, there are 58 shopping malls in city center of Istanbul.     Advertisement is essential when a product introduces into the market, because when a new composition which different and original launches, people start to talk
    mention about it and the biggest advertisement is it. So launching is most important one of the process. Launching gala should be done with lots famous people, so it would be talked on daily life between people, or have a place on news and newspapers. Putting advertisement on some newspapers can be a good method or hand brochures can be distributed in Bahçeşehir.
    Recommendations
    The design of the mall must be more modern and future-based. They can be outdoor establishments such as Kanyon and Form Istanbul, or they can even handle indoor activities such as concerts, theaters or some workshops about art activities.
    Eating areas are also important; there should be some de luxe restaurants which are extraverted in despite of introverted fast-food restaurants.

    In our age, shopping malls are getting popular because of lots of reason. However, the location of the

    Istanbul has become like a Shopping Mall Paradise during the last years. Istanbul has the most number of Shopping Malls in a city than many other major cities in Europe and Middle East. 52 shopping malls were built in Istanbul and that number has been increasing- 14-15 projects are waiting to construct.     Akmerkez is still the most favorable Mall
    which is established in 1993. It has exclusive brands and top fashion shops. It located the luxury district of Istanbul at Etiler. The mall has won the Europe's Best shopping mall award in 1995 and Worlds Best shopping mall award in 1996.

    Kanyon Shopping Mall
    building is the newest shopping mall of Istanbull. Its doors opened at the end of May 2006. Kanyon is now the most beautiful concept in Istanbuls shooping malls. The shopping mall is located at Levent district of Istanbul. Kanyon Shooping mall is an "open air" shopping mall with no roof. Covering an area of 37,500 2m on four floors with 160 Shops.

    Cevahir Shopping Mall is the second biggest shopping mall of the World. Cevahir shopping mall is another brand new mall of Istanbul with over 320 shops. It was opened on October 2005 with a big ceremony. The mall hosts restaurants, furniture shops, House hold goods, shops from several known brands, Movie Theatres and entertaining park. The Shopping mall is located between Mecidiyekoy and Sisli districts.

    Advertisements are the most efficient way to access consumers. Some shopping malls’ web-pages have a great concept. When consumers write the name of the mall’ address, they should have many information about corporation, stores, services, gallery, road map. In addition, billboards are the other effective way to attract consumer attention.
    Recommendation
    In shopping center, there should be decorative elements, because when people do shopping they get tired and they want to be relaxed. Due to decorative elements such as botany trees or benches they feel more positive and relax.
    People want to have fun in shopping mall. For that reason, there should be various entertainment centers such as cinemas and playrooms.
    Illumination is very important component in shopping mall. Lights should be effective and soft. It should not disturb people.

    Shopping malls are very significant for people. They provide entertainment and also they are useful to find everything with together at the same time. Therefore, in turkey these centers have began to replicate. saler and consumer are very happy about shopping malls. In addition to this, shopping malls benefit turkey’s economy.
